Hate PSYOP: Senator Simons Ignores StatsCan Data to Blame “White Supremacy” for Hate Fueled by Open Borders

Senator Simons attack on the Dominion Society was raw personal activism and a blatant attempt to gaslight the Canadian Senate.

On April 16, 2026, Independent Senators Group member Paula Simons delivered a 14-minute masterclass in political theatre inside the Canadian Senate during second-reading debate on Bill C-9, the so-called “Combatting Hate Act.” What she presented as sober legislative reflection was, in reality, raw personal activism dressed up in parliamentary robes – a blatant attempt to deflect blame for Canada’s imported hate-crime surge onto “White supremacy” while shielding the Trudeau government’s mass-immigration policies from scrutiny.

“And, of course, the terrible wars in the Middle East are driving much of the upswing in anti-Semitism and Islamophobia in Canada and pitting Jewish and Muslim Canadians against one another at a time when, frankly, Canadian Muslims and Canadian Jews need to be standing together as allies against the rising tide of White supremacy.”

She didn’t stop there. Simons explicitly named the Dominion Society – a Canadian nationalist group advocating remigration (deporting non-citizens who refuse to assimilate, commit crimes, or import foreign conflicts, plus slashing unsustainable immigration levels) – as Exhibit A of the problem:

“Political groups such as the Dominion Society are now openly calling for campaigns of ‘remigration.’”

And she made her personal stake crystal clear, invoking family ties to frame the entire debate as untouchable:

“For me, as a person of paternal Jewish descent, this isn’t a hypothetical debate; it’s a deeply personal one.”

Personal trauma might be real because attacks on the Jewish community have surged post-Oct. 7, 2023. But Simons’ “personal connection” does not grant her a license to rewrite reality, ignore Statistics Canada data, or smear policy solutions as “hate.” This is textbook activism that weaponizes identity, inverts cause and effect, and demands more state power to silence dissent. Her speech isn’t politics – it’s a partisan hit job that exposes the intellectual dishonesty driving Bill C-9.

The Data Doesn’t Lie – But Simons Does

Statistics Canada’s police-reported hate crime data for 2024 (released March 30, 2026) recorded 4,882 incidents – essentially flat (+1% from 2023) after a 34% spike the prior year and a 169% increase since 2018 and the drivers are Religion and race/ethnicity – overwhelmingly tied to geopolitical flashpoints imported by Ottawa’s record immigration from conflict zones in the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, and beyond. Antisemitic incidents exploded after Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre. Anti-Muslim incidents tracked Gaza coverage and Inter-community clashes replay foreign wars on Canadian streets.

Simons admits the Middle East wars are “driving much of the upswing” – then pivots to blame “White supremacy” for “pitting” communities against each other. This is gaslighting on steroids. The stats show no evidence of some grand White supremacist conspiracy orchestrating Jewish-Muslim tension. The tension is imported grievance – parallel societies created by unchecked mass migration from high-conflict regions. Canada isn’t importing people; it’s importing their wars.

Meanwhile, groups like the Dominion Society are offering the only data-driven solution: remigration – prioritize deportation of criminal non-citizens, end sanctuary for failed asylum seekers, slash temporary foreign workers and students, and restore cultural cohesion. Simons treats this as a threat. The real threat is a government that keeps the immigration spigot wide open, then cries “hate” when Canadians notice the consequences.

Bill C-9: The Australian Preview Canada’s Government Swears Won’t Happen

Justice Minister Sean Fraser keeps reassuring Canadians: Bill C-9 won’t target social media posts or religious expression and It’s just about protecting places of worship and cracking down on “hate symbols.” Pure fiction.

The bill explicitly amends Criminal Code hate propaganda sections to cover “public” communications (courts have long ruled this includes the internet). It strips the longstanding religious defence that protected good-faith scriptural discussion. It creates a standalone hate crime offence with easier charging, and it’s heading to the Senate with momentum.

Watch Canada’s future unfold in real time. AFP Commissioner Krissy Barrett recently unveiled a “flying squad of hate disruptors” – National Security Investigation Teams laser-focused on “hate & division.” They’ve already charged 14 people for social media posts. Same playbook: vague “hatred” thresholds, dedicated enforcers, lowered prosecution barriers. The UK did it. Australia is doing it. Canada’s next – and Simons is cheerleading.

Hate Hysteria While Real Crime Skyrockets – And Gets Ignored

Simons and the government portray “hate” as an existential crisis. Yet police-reported hate crimes remain a fraction of total crime. Violent crime, sexual assault, human trafficking, extortion, and fraud – the very offences that disproportionately track with mass migration from high-crime regions in the Third World – have seen alarming trends while Ottawa obsesses over online symbols and calls for “remigration.”

Sexual assault remains one of the most underreported violent crimes in Canada, with systemic failures in the justice response. Human trafficking cases have shown year-over-year increases in key provinces. Broader violent and property crime data reveal persistent pressures in urban centres absorbing the bulk of recent immigration. But instead of addressing root causes – failed integration, imported cultural attitudes toward women, gang activity tied to certain diaspora networks – the focus is on Bill C-9’s speech police.

This is selective enforcement by design. “Hate” gets the flying squad. Rape, trafficking, and extortion? Crickets – unless it fits the narrative.

Simons’ Credibility: Destroyed by Her Own Words

Senator Simons spent decades as a journalist railing against censorship. She cites the Jim Keegstra case as proof that prosecuting hate speech backfires – giving extremists a platform while hate crimes spiked. Yet she supports Bill C-9’s goals anyway.

Her speech is a textbook example of elite disconnect and acknowledgment of the imported geopolitical driver, blaming “White supremacy” and nationalist reformers, then demanding broader tools to criminalize debate. Personal ancestry doesn’t exempt her from facts. It doesn’t justify smearing remigration advocates as the villains while the government’s policies destabilize society.

Canadians are watching our future in that Australian video. Bill C-9 is the vehicle, and Senator Simons just proved the bill’s real purpose is to protect the narrative, punish the notice-takers, and keep importing the problem.
